WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This is our first youth-led workshop, taught by Marie Damus in collaboration with Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls! (people of all genders are welcome to attend)

Come make music with us! We’ll be talking about movements that matter and events that are very important in this day and age. Join us as we speak about the #BlackLivesMatter movement and expand our creative minds. There will be music and group discussions involved which is always a great thing. We want to hear about what matters to you and what you think is going on in our society. Everybody has a voice , why not use our music to get our points across? Whether its Hip-hop , Jazz , Rock , R&B, or Rap , WE WANT TO HEAR YOU.

Open to the public, with this collaborative workshop being tailored for teens 13+.

Suggested donation of $0-$25, which goes to support Bushwick School for Music's ongoing effort to provide free and sliding scale music education to Brooklyn youth.

This workshop will take place in Gravesend Recordings -- enter The Silent Barn and walk straight back through the yard.
