Bridgit Larson - Reasons for Licking

"Reasons for Licking" is a performance to reflect upon and address a period of anxiety that had become increasingly profound in my life. It is a meditation on humor and acceptance, but also has moments of sexuality, control and shame. This absurd and endless act of public licking, anxieties are unburdened and offered to the crowd while also given personal validation and worth.

Sari Carel - Flight Song

Approaching Bushwick’s Silent Barn as a natural ecosystem unto itself, Carel spent the past four months making field recordings of creaks, murmurs and disembodied voices from within the renowned DIY arts center. Weaving these strands of sound together, Flight Song traverses time and re-mixes architecture and space to create a sonic landscape by using the tools of ornithology and zoology.
